What We Do

Aras runs a SaaS-style Subscription business model similar to Red Hat. We operate an in-bound marketing and sales process to generate business, and use content marketing to drive traffic to our website, Once at our site, people learn about Aras and our solutions, and ultimately become Subscribers. Our keys to success include bringing the right people to our site, providing the right information and engaging at the right time. Unlike traditional business where leads are generated and handed off to Sales, we incubate and nurture leads over an extended period of time.


Position Description

We’ve got the world’s most advanced PLM technology and we’re seeking a communications pro to tell the world about it. Working as an integral part of the global marketing team, the PR and Communications Manager will be responsible for developing, communicating and driving our message worldwide.

What You’ll Do

·         Manage and expand high-volume, fast-paced media relations program across multiple channels

·         Plan and execute traditional and social media outreach initiatives, including news / article pitch and placement, and social media campaigns

·         Create written communications materials, including press releases, articles, backgrounders and blog posts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

·         Monitor online social networks, blogs, electronic forums for key topics, trends and influencers, and communicate in that media

·         Coordinate global media relations programs

·         Assist in building organizational capacity to engage key reporters

·         Monitor, track, package and distribute coverage from traditional and social media outlets

·         Maintain media outreach lists of analysts, editors, writers, bloggers and other industry influencers

·         Support corporate analyst relations programs

·         Write and produce monthly community enewsletter

·         Develop Web pages, presentations, product overviews and other marketing collateral as needed


What You Need

·         3+ years high tech public / media relations experience in an agency or enterprise software company

·         3-5 years of experience producing high quality written communications materials such as press releases, blog posts, web pages, newsletters, presentations and other marketing collateral

·         Excellent writer and editor, with proven success in producing compelling and readable copy that is appropriate for targeted audiences and online search engines

·         Understanding of / background in enterprise PLM software with products such as Windchill, MatrixOne, Teamcenter or Agile PLM strongly preferred

·         Excellent proofreading and interviewing skills

·         Ability to thoughtfully compile and decipher information to create interesting media/news stories

·         Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, manage competing priorities and compile input from multiple sources into final deliverables

·         Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professional demeanor and the ability to juggle several tasks while meeting deadlines

·         Excellent MS Office skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience working with a CMS, HTML and Constant Contact a plus

·         Experience in search engine optimization (SEO), including measuring results

·         Hands-on self-starter with confidence and skills to drive projects

·         High level of energy, enthusiasm, initiative and responsibility

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

·         Fluency in English - written and spoken; other languages a plus

·         Willingness to travel up to 10%

·         Candidates must be able to provide current writing samples and show a portfolio of placed media coverage
